Society Botanica is a woman owned, woman run small business proudly based in Kingston, New York. All fragrances and product formulas are designed and made in house with painstaking care. There were no shortcuts to ensure that our cosmetic formulas are highly functional and compassionate at every stage of their life cycle. From ingredient sourcing to human health and the eventual impact post use, every aspect must be rigorously researched and documented. Our formulation standard was born of my personal ethos and a desire for a more nuanced approach to personal care. I chose transparency over easy labels and feel that the opportunity to be empowered and educated to make a choice is paramount in this complicated space. We are continuously evolving our approach to ensure we are making the best possible choices for our customers.

All products in our line up are currently made with 100% vegan ingredients. However, we have not noted vegan as part of our formulation standard to allow for future potential use of beeswax, marine and mushroom based materials.
